  This is Katt. Our director’s husband found her earlier this week, so starved that she could barely stand. She is now safely in a foster home, heartworm negative (a miracle in itself), and getting the love and care she needs to become a healthy, happy dog.   I got to meet Drita this weekend!!

  Drita was rescued from an “owner” who left her in a small crate for months, forcing her to sit in her own waste and causing terrible sores. She was malnourished and heartworm positive. Now she’s healthy, healed, and one of the sweetest and most outgoing dogs you’ll ever meet!

  Meet Spunky! This sweet little girl was stabbed in the head with a kitchen knife by her previous owners. Thankfully, she did not suffer any long-term side effects, but she is now in desperate need of a foster home that can get her used to being part of a family.

  Seven month old dog's ears cut off and beaten with brass knuckles

  Pit pup thrown from car in Detroit

  This poor little girl was thrown from a moving car earlier this week. She was picked up by a good Samaritan who rushed her to a vet and used his own money to ensure she got the care she needed.

  Although suffering many cuts and scrapes and a case of mange, this little pup is now in great hands, and will receive the love and kindness that she deserves.
