GET YO PHONE FIXED GIRL. Or just leave me a voicemail with your e-mail address so we can make a date for our forest adventure/Simon Birch filmfest. Sorry I'm so inaccessible.
So how's the book?
ughhh I’m sorry. I did see this morning that you called once yesterday, (the bonfire didn’t happen), and I meant to call you back but I got distracted by picking up puppies (excuses, excuses, right? :]). Hopefully something will work out next week.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org (anyone can email me there!) and I’ll give you my personal email from there.
Let us send a clear message — if you brutalize helpless animals, you will not be accepted back into society and return to fame and wealth without opposition. Our silence allows the opposite message to be sent. Complacency breeds acceptance. Acceptance leads to continued violence against animals. We do not have to accept things as they are and we will not.
also includes a list of companies that still support the show. start writing, folks!
Please call Call 800 244 6397 ext 2506 and let the Union Tribune know that we do NOT want pit bulls banned in San Diego County! (it’s all automated). All you have to press is “2” to vote that it’s the owners responsibility and to not blame the dogs! You can vote even if you don’t live in San Diego!
a) I will indeed leave a voicemail. Friday or Saturday sounds lovely for a Forest Escapade avec tu.
b) Sorry for not responding for so long.
c) I found that movie as I was digging up information for my research paper, but John Irving himself said that it is not based off of the book at all. It's not Owen Meany, and that's why he didn't let them use the title. It is a good movie though. We should find it at the library and watch it after frolicking this Friday.
d) DO NOT READ AHEAD. DO NOT.
e) But in all seriousness, should you read ahead, the whole thing will be ruined. At the end, you will be sitting (or standing, depending on which you prefer) in a location (preferably isolated, because that is the atmosphere Irving's endings require) and your jaw will drop to the ground your feet rest on. It will blow yo' mind.
f) Tell your mama happy birthday for me!
g) A lot of those annotations occurred under severe Russia/U.S. flights jet lag, so think no less of me as you read further.
h) Have you read Brave New World? If not, that should be on your reading list next. I've almost finished it, and I really want to discuss it.
i) Deathly Hallows II in nineteen days!
a) Friday, Saturdays I volunteer aww crap I lied, I have to babysit Friday. Are you up for a bonfire this week, though? Not sure which night we’re having it, but I’ll call you if you’re interested.
b) That’s okay, sorry I didn’t answer your call today, I was walking the dog and didn’t feel it vibrate.
c) Yeah, I saw that it wasn’t supposed to be a good representation of the novel, but there are some scenes that come directly from the book. It would be fun to watch, though.
d) I WILL NOT I PROMISE.
e) I will keep that in mind!
f) That I shall do.
g) I love your annotations! They’re hilarious!
h) No, I haven’t. AP Lang didn’t have to (Brit lit does), and I wanted to, just never got around to it.
i) I actually haven’t seen most of the Harry Potter movies. I loved the books, but I never really got into the film versions.
"With Gov. Rick Scott’s signature on June 21, 2011, SB 722 is now a law. And that means that dogs who are seized as victims of dogfighting operations may now be individually evaluated and adopted into loving homes, instead of being automatically euthanized.”
“Allowing people to interact with Pit Bulls shows them that Pit Bulls are dogs, like any other dog. Some minds will never change, but most people are very receptive and pleased to interact with the Pit Bulls.”
Home Fur-Ever is in the running for Care2’s America’s Favorite Shelter contest this year. Please take a moment to vote for us and help us win $15,000!
Home Fur-Ever is a no kill, foster based 501 (c) 3 out of Detroit. We rescue dogs of all breeds and sizes and give them the chance at the lives they deserve.
The money would go towards paying our extensive vet bills for both general care and our emergency cases, such as Humphrey and Mia. It would also help with buying crates, food, treats, toys, and just about everything else our doggies and fosters need.
Please, please vote and reblog! It only takes a moment, but it helps in a huge way!
